Three Pensée in Spring

i.

banners
paper and paint
strut like B-movie extras
backgrounding shapely news casters
nobody notices

ii.

morrow
in rayless hope
    and brash pose makes promises:

a chipmunk      a protest for change
a sodden sky and earth . . .

iii.

these words
          hobbled pilgrims

disremember root and rhyme

now shiftless
                    in spring verse
                                        in march

fruitless                                  torpid
                                                  shameless
