POETRY

Found poetry is an odd duck, kind of a cross between poetry and visual arts. What are the component skills of what we call composition? Is it poetry if only we name it so? Does everything we experience have the potential of poetry within it?

“When they found out
          that Hailey
          was pregnant,
it was just the best day for them.
They have both been
          very emotional about it.
They feel so blessed.
They’ve also felt
          very protective of the baby
from the moment they found out.”

As she enjoyed,
Hailey chose a no-pants “comfort” look,
          white socks with black boots
          neon green glow-in-the-dark nails.
When she was spotted:
          a black hair wrap
          and tortoiseshell-patterned glasses.

“Just FYI
          the stories and

100% of the time wrong
Made out                of thin air…

Come from
          the land of delusion…

So I know
          they’re always false
          xx sorry to spoil it.”
